Super secret page for people who finished Hat Wizard!

If you reached this page you’ve probably finished one of the Hat Wizard games. Thank you very much for playing! If not: you are such a rebel! But feel free to read on anyway 🙂

The next Hat Wizard game is currently in development. If you want to follow the progress you can watch the dev log videos on youtube, where I will tell you all about the next Hat Wizard Game.

Take me to the devlog videos!

Besides the devlog I will also post updates on this website from time to time. Feel free to ask any questions in the comment section!

Here are a couple of screenshots from the new game (mind you, these are early work in progress screenshots):

You might notice Hat Wizard has had a makeover. Besides the different sprite the lighting is also dynamic now. This way Hat Wizard is more connected to the environment. It also opens up the possibility of having colored lighting fall on the characters and objects to create different moods.

If you want to see the moving versions of these images you can view them in my latest devlog video on youtube.

  1. Thank you for creating this game! It was fun!
I collected all necronomicon pages, but I do not know what they were for 🙁

  2. Damn I loved playing the Hat Wizard games back in 2017 and 2018! I guess I should try the other games this guy has made!

  3. Really good games with nice puzzles and non-awful controls. Hope one day youll release full set on Steam/GOG/Epic.

  4. Me encantó Hat Wizard! Las dinámicas son sólidas y los ambientes me gustaron, la secuela debería tener más áreas como Sonic!
    Saludos desde Argentina :3

  5. Hey, I’m old-style, I don’t care about the graphic! It musy remain simple and genial as now. More levels, more difficult, more enemies – structures and maybe one more later power

  6. I have really enjoyed all of your installments of Hat Wizard and am looking forward to the newest one very soon. Keep up the good work. If you ever decide to use any kind of voice-over, I am available and you can contact me via my email.

  7. Here’s an idea going off that ‘fireball’ comment.
Instead of having ‘normal’ wizard powers, you improvise with modern technology!
Gotta put out a fire? Throw your hat on a hydrant or bag of ice.
Then jump over the fire and drop it!
Gotta blow something up? Toss your hat at a bomb or bundle of dynamite.
Light something on fire? Knock over something small and flammable then drop a straw dummy or wooden mannequin there!
Lightning? Electricity of course! Smash open objects by dropping them from great heights, or place conductive materials in appropriate areas.
And then you can have puzzles where you mix them up, like spill a bucket of water, then drop a metallic mannequin or suit of armour there. Or drop something like a stereo from far enough up to smash it, then hit the switch to turn it back on.
Yeah, it’s basically an excuse to draw hats on as many objects as possible, haha.
Also one of these puzzle objects must be a blue pony. It must!
You could also introduce other dangerous elements like wild animals that you could teleport in to fight with big groups of guards.
Or a bonus alien area where the guards can randomly teleport too! That would be pretty hectic I imagine.
Or demons who’re immune to hatting because….they have horns!

  8. Need to shoot… Guns… Hat Wizard looks kind of like Caleb, the anti-hero from an old (mid to late 1990’s) First Person Shooter game called Blood… Or I’m really tired…

To quote Caleb from the sequel, Blood II…

‘…When you get to hell, tell ’em I sent you… You’ll get a group discount…….’

  9. Ace idea, keep making these amazing games.

I was thinking you could use posters (or something like it) as mid-level continue points.

Upgrades mid-game such as double jump or fireballs would be great, even if temporary.
