More levels for the Underworld

More level designs for the underworld! Keep in mind these are not final and might be changed before release.

Getting rid of an enemy is NOT always what you want do. In this case, when the enemies touch the fire crater, they will die. And that prevents them from walking over the switch. So be careful, timing is key in this puzzle.

Speaking of fire craters… How many boneheaded enemies does it take to introduce a new mechanic? One.Β This is the first encounter with the fire crater. Anyone who hasn’t seen one before could not possibly know they will die while standing on it. That’s why I use this enemy to demonstrate what happens.

Here’s the most recent level I made. The level is shaped like an X and this method got me thinking: Maybe there are other shapes that would make interesting and fun levels.

As not to spoil too much of the new content, I won’t show the rest of the levels. The underworld will probably contain somewhere around 10 to 15 levels, including a Boss fight.

  1. Hello!

I’d like to say I really enjoyed playing hat wizard 2. πŸ™‚

However, I also wanted to mention that I also really liked the possibility of challenging myself to leave all of the enemies in places where they can’t shoot me (obviously) but also where they themselves survive. Odd, I know, but it’s fun leaving them behind on an earlier stage of the level, in a lower bit so they can’t hit you, then hat-teleporting far, far forward to where you left the enemy in your hat! πŸ˜€

I know lots of people find it fun to destroy the enemies in amusing ways, but for me keeping everyone alive is more fun. Not that I’m asking you to not have any levels where the enemies have to be destroyed, but I wanted you to know that there’s at least one person out there whose playstyle involves not harming the enemies unless absolutely necessary. πŸ˜‰
(well, you did mention something about using the power of the hat for good (not evil)…?) πŸ˜›

Anyway, the underworld boss’s line about having to leave and go haunt someplace else amused me greatly. Thank you!
